Sustainability for ‘finance hat wearers’

Empowering action for SMEs

(Dates for February and March to be confirmed)

As a subgroup of Deloitte and SBC’s CFO Climate & Sustainability Programme, BusinessNZ and Deloitte are piloting the Sustainability for ‘finance hat wearers’ course for Auckland based SMEs.

The course recognises that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face different challenges when it comes to Sustainability and with SMEs making up 70% of New Zealand businesses, it is critical to equip ‘finance hat wearers’ with the knowledge and confidence to drive sustainability action forward in their organisations.

Over the course of four engaging, 1.5 hour lunchtime sessions together, we will establish a pathway forward to embed sustainability and maximise opportunities for your business, while addressing the real challenges that SMEs are facing in this space.

Gain the clarity and confidence to navigate with influence and impact
We will establish a shared understanding of what we mean by ‘sustainability’, what the critical challenges and opportunities are, and why they are important to you and your key stakeholders. This foundation will allow you to compellingly communicate the case for change. You will leave the Programme with a pathway forward to take action in your organisation.

Test your ideas and learn from others
Deloitte, Business New Zealand and others will share best practice, insights and guidance and each session will be interactive to allow you to share stories of the unique challenges and opportunities you face and support each other to overcome barriers.

Become part of a network
Participants become members of a network of passionate, driven and empathetic people who are empowered to navigate change required by the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change and sustainability issues.
